You enter into the property into the hand crafted kitchen, with dining table and seating for 2. The splash of green adds a touch of colour with the mix of natural materials. You have an oven, hob, fridge with small freezer compartment, DAB radio, kettle, toaster & butlers sink, everything you could need for self catering.

Applecote is perfectly situated so you can leave your car at the cottage and walk into town about 10-15 minutes on the way there, maybe 5 minutes longer on the return as uphill. Lovely trail footpaths on your doorstep if you love walking.
Rye is a pretty medieval town with so much history but small enough to explore in a few days. The cobbled streets of the old citadel are like stepping back in time and no visit is complete without taking a photograph of the famous 'Mermaid Street' and having a drink in the 'Mermaid Inn', supposedly one of the UK's most haunted pubs! You can visit Rye Museum, The Heritage Centre and the Ypres Tower and don't miss the 'Quarter boys' striking every quarter of an hour at the famous St Mary's Church. Easily reached by train from London, so no car is necessary but if you do have one, take a trip to Hastings Old Town, 25 minutes away. Here you can enjoy a good mixture of old seaside charm, mixed with modern. Rye is the best place to stay and explore all that this region has to offer.
