The apartment is perfectly located with a bakery, butcher shop and deli within 1 minutes walk. Directly below is a fresh fruit & veg shop - perfect to fuel a breakfast smoothie! A 15 minute walk takes you to the foot of the Eildon hills and directly opposite, you have the cosy & lively Kings Arms bar & restaurant - for an evening snack with a pint of local ale or a glass of wine. Melrose Abbey (founded in 1136) is right around the corner and is open to the public. A few minutes walk from the Abbey is the River Tweed, Harmony House & Gardens and Priorwood Gardens. The heart of Melrose 7s Rugby is 100m from the apartment and you can catch a game of rugby on Saturday morning! The best way to get around Melrose is on foot - it's a small town and it's often very busy. You can take the train from Tweedbank (5 minute drive / 25 minute walk from Melrose) to Edinburgh Waverley - it's about an hour and 10 minute train journey. Opposite the apartment is the bus stop which connects you to many other border towns.
