We loved everything, it was so perfect. It was the 1st time in years I actually felt really relaxed afterwards. The kids and dogs settled really quick too due to it being so cosy and lovely. The homemade bread was beautiful best we have ever tried...

Bardzo przyjemny i komfortowy dom w spokojnej lokalizacji. Lokal jest dobrze wyposażony i czysty. Okolica zachęca do spacerów zwłaszcza przy sprzyjającej pogodzie. Dobry kontakt z gospodarzami którzy wykazują dużo troski względem gości.

Butterfly Lodge our converted cart house is proving a hit! Privately managed we are nearby and no corporate letting agency is involved. The lodge is individual, welcoming, cosy and bright with a real fire and stunning views. Ideal for couples, families or friends on a get away. In a Peaceful conservation and AONB. Doggy guests will enjoy the secure garden. Walks right on the doorstep but also ideal for a range of jaunts in the region based on the borders of Northumberland, Durham and Cumbria.
We have lived in the area for 20 years and can provide information help and advice on the area, walks, places to eat and things tosee
Newhouse is a small hamlet with Butterfly lodge sitting slightly outside of the hamlet with 3 other properties on a hill with great views over the Pennines. St Johns Chapel is about a mile away where there is a cafe, 2 pubs, 1 serving food, co op, gym, GP surgery and ambulance station. Stanhope is about 8 miles away and the historic town of Alston about 12 miles. This is a rural area the bus stop is half a mile away from the property and the buses usually run half hourly along the main Dale road. During Bank Holidays the bus service is very restricted. A train runs out of Stanhope through to Bishop Auckalnd where trains can be picked up onto the main lines.
