Situated near the Iron Age Caplor Fort, in the beautiful Wye Valley, we are acutely aware of the effects of climate change on our environment. Alarmed by the continued impact of climate change on farming practices, we installed a range of energy solutions on the farm, being among the first to be established and accredited with the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
For the last 6 years we have been diversifying into on-farm tourism using a range of eco friendly glamping pods located in a peaceful spot on the farm. The site is powered by 140kW of roof-mounted solar PV, 60kW of battery storage, solar thermal hot water systems, 15kW wind turbine and on-farm EV infrastructure for charging electric vehicles.

Nestled in the idyllic Herefordshire countryside, Caplor Glamping & Lodges offers all of the benefits of rural living; with countryside walks on the doorstep, breath-taking views and canoeing or fishing nearby.
The local village of Fownhope is 1.5 miles by car or a countryside walk away. Its a typical rural village hosting a few pubs, a well stocked local shop, butchers, coffee and gift shop along with easy access to the river Wye when passing near the church. All of the amenities of Hereford City and Ross-on-Wye are both a short journey away.
Situated on the Wye Valley Walk, Caplor Farm provides beautifully isolated self-contained glamping pods and wonderfully luxurious lodges, perfect for peaceful breaks to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site benefits from 100% green electricity, purchased or generated by on site Wind & Solar.
Enjoying either a sunrise view or sitting by an open fire watching the sunset from your own deck, our Glamping Pods (chalets) are ideal for a romantic getaway or a perfect dog friendly stopover for ramblers or business trips.
The Luxury Lodges (holiday homes) Windmill View and Long Meadow View feature everything you need for a family or friends countryside break; log effect fire, triple aspect windows, double sofas and a furnished deck to enjoy expansive, unspoilt views and glorious Herefordshire sunsets. We regret to advise that dogs are currently not permitted in the lodges.

Off the beaten track, under the radar, a hidden gem... call it what you will, the chances are you haven’t yet stumbled upon Herefordshire.
Tucked against the Welsh border, hugged by the Malvern Hills and the Brecon Beacons, Herefordshire is closer than you think but our wild landscapes, dramatic history, charming market towns and fabulous local food will make you feel a world away.
We have green space by the (country) mile, along with views that would make any heart soar. Roam our rolling hills, apple orchards and atmospheric woodlands. Perhaps you’ll meet the wild ponies on the Brecon Beacons or find a remote castle ruin with many a story to tell. Meander by bike through our picture-perfect ‘black-and-white villages’ or tour the county’s cider and perry producers.
The River Wye is spectacular at any time of year, and is extra-special when steering a canoe or stand-up paddleboard or for enjoying a spot of fishing.
New in 2024 is Fig & Acorn. You will find the shop sited near the luxury lodges and selling everything from natural dog treats, wooden toys, natural skincare and engraved gifts. If you're walking in the area, feel free to purchase light refreshments and tasty cakes and settle under the trees on the picnic benches.
