One Drake Road and Apartments are privately owned and managed by two experienced hospitality and retail experts. Iain was born and bred into hospitality industry following in his parents footsteps with an international career in marketing, PR, design and hotel and restaurant operations.

Property information

Our two-bedroom apartment is located off the historic courtyard at our 17th century Georgian town house. The entrance is down the long-forgotten cobbled Post Office Lane, in the centre of Tavistock, Devon. The beautiful fabric of the original “Stables & Scullery”, on the original street level of Tavistock has been preserved, while guests can relax in modern comforts, luxury and charm; a presence of the original Courtyard, Stables and Scullery remains. The uniqueness of our accommodation is there for all to see as, the two bedrooms have been lovingly converted from a courtyard, stables and scullery into luxury appointed accommodation spaces, decorated and furnished in an eccentric and bohemian style. Each bedroom contains a comfortable double bed with White Company bedding, console table, two reading chairs, a radio and wifi, and has been designed to ensure that no detail has been missed. There is a 32" smart TV in one of the bedrooms for use with TV apps and your own TV stick. Within the internal courtyard, there is a small practical kitchenette with fridge, kettle, toaster and hot plate to prepare your own breakfast from the pantry foods supplied or to plate up your local takeaway suppers. Our two-bedroom holiday let is ideal for families or groups of friends looking to relax, bringing all your guests together in informal surroundings. Tavistock is a thriving, beautiful friendly market town that is worthy of any visitor. An ancient stannary town and home of the cream tea, Tavistock is the only town in Devon to hold world heritage status. The vibrancy and uniqueness of Tavistock is undeniable with a range of beautiful local independent shops which are a far cry from today's typical high street. Not to be overlooked is the famous pannier market or the award-winning farmers’ market. It is truly a shoppers paradise.
