Cnocanreoch Farm Glamping Pod is a true 'leave the rat-race behind' peaceful retreat. Situated on a working farm, the pod offers undisturbed sea views, and takes in breathtaking sunsets while you relax on the decking with something cool and refreshing.
It is well situated from the ferry terminal and all main tourist areas, yet neatly tucked away down a private farm track, and only five minutes from the best beach on the island.
There is ample parking on site, and we offer a seamless online booking system, and key access safe to the pod.
The pod sleeps two comfortably, and has everything you need for a memorable stay.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with all utensils and crockery provided.
All linen is included.
On arrival, you will be welcomed with a complimentary breakfast hamper; and the use of an Onni Pizza oven complete with pizza packs for sale; a farm honesty box selling fresh organic eggs, and homemade cakes; and our soap shed selling art, gifts and of course, our soap!
Come and experience life on a real working island farm where peace, and a warm welcome awaits.
(As we are a working farm, sadly, we cannot accept dogs or children.)
Nix and Ian welcome you to our south-island farm with spectacular views over to the Kintyre Peninsula, Northern Ireland, Ailsa Craig, Davaar Island, Spoon Island, and the Ayrshire Coast.
We keep an array of animals here, but particularly dairy goats from which we make goats' milk soap.
As a working farm, we would be happy to show you around, to meet all the animals, and maybe even feed the ducks!
The location is quiet, peaceful, with no neighbours, and five minutes on foot away from the breathtaking Kilmory beach, where, if you are lucky, you may spot seals, otters, diving gannets, birds of prey, and pods of dolphins.
The area is perfect for cycling, walking, running, kayaking, paddleboarding and swimming, and we have safe storage to keep all your items, and dry wetsuits.
The sandy beach, at low tide, stretches a good mile - perfect for picnics, or an evening walk taking in the amazing Scottish sunsets.
We cannot wait to see you soon.
Nix and Ian.
We are close to the Lagg Hotel (a ten-minute walk), where you can buy a well-deserved lunch and a cool drink after your day on the beach. In addition, the Lagg Distillery is a five-minute drive away, where you can book a tour and taste a wee dram! Blackwaterfoot is a fifteen-minute drive along the spectacular south end of the island, where you will find a shop and post office, a gift shop (open seven days), a bakery, the Kinloch Hotel for evening meals, a golf course and a café.
