Y Llofft is a cosy, fresh and inviting space that has all the creature comforts to instantly make you feel relaxed and at home. The spacious super king bed has an extra deep mattress with soft white linen for that sense of 5 star luxury. The bed can be adapted to make a twin room if needed. After a day out exploring in the beautiful countryside, feel refreshed under the rainfall shower and comforted with warm fluffy towels. On a summers evening enjoy a glass of wine under the stars.
Hello and welcome to Y Llofft...our little escape to the country! I live with my husband, two children and dog. We are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of Wales and we are delighted to be able to share our space with you. We moved to the area 10 years ago and we love living here. We enjoy going on long walks and exploring the countryside and outstanding views that surround us. We opened Y Llofft in September 2022 and have thoroughly enjoyed being host to our guests, some that are already on their second visit. One of the many advantages of running Y Llofft is the wonderful comments and feedback that we’ve received. We find it extremely rewarding and satisfying to know that we are providing our guests with a relaxing and comfortable place to spend their time. A warm welcome awaits if you are thinking of booking with us.
Glangrwyney is small quaint village, that is conveniently located on the A40 road, two miles south-east of Crickhowell, and a mile and a half north of Gilwern. It offers easy access to Abergavenny within 10 minutes drive and Newport and Cardiff within an hour's drive.
The village is an excellent base for walkers to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park and Black Mountains region.
After a long day out on the hills, you may wish to try one of the highly recommended restaurants in the area. There is a new restaurant/bar just a few yards away from the accommodation or if you fancy venturing further into Crickhowell, you'll find a variety of well renowned bars and restaurants.
Crickhowell was named winner of the Great British High Street Awards in 2018. It's one of the last remaining UK thoroughfares that's free from major retailers, with a family-run butchers, independent book store, clothing boutique, local coffee shops and Wales' first zero-waste shop.
