We are Lynda and John Angus Maccusbic. We live in the village of Struan on the very beautiful Isle of Skye. Crofting is our main occupation and we live on the family croft, we built our wee cabin in 2019 and it sits in the heart of our farm where we have 400 sheep and 30 cows and working collie dogs. We will be happy to welcome you to share some of quiet tranquility and beauty in this lovely part of Skye.
Struan lies on North West coast of Skye, and offers some of the most beautiful and atmospheric scenery on the Island. Just a short drive from our property takes you to the famous Cuillin mountain range where you can hike, climb or enjoy the much photographed Fairy Pools. Talkiser Distillery is also in this area and well worth a visit. Driving up the North west coast you will find yourselves in the Dunvegan area where you could visit the Dunvegan Castle & Gardens ( home to the Clan MacLeod) Coral beach and Neist point Lighthouse are also in the area. Portree is the capital of the island and as such has the usual village shops, bars, restaurants and things to see and do. Heading towards the North of Skye brings you to the stunning Trotternish ridge, the Quirraing and Old Man of Storr where many movies such as Harry Potter, Star Wars and MacBeth have been filmed. We will be happy to help you with anything you need to know about our Island, feel free to ask us. See more about the area and what's happening locally check out the Skye app.
