The sumptuous double bedroom benefits from comfortable luxury mattresses – an excellent night’s sleep is almost guaranteed. There is a relaxing private and secluded hot tub on the decking which has the most stunning views of the historic town of Whitby and the river Esk. The Esk cottage is the perfect base to stay to enjoy a relaxing getaway, representing the perfect haven for anyone looking for a well-deserved break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Within Esk cottage accommodation, you’ll also find a washer and a well-equipped kitchen including a fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher. With a spacious living area, 40” Smart TV and USB sockets placed around the apartment.– you can rest assured that you will have all the amenities you could need during a self-catering break. It has a cosy little courtyard ideal for romantic dining on a nice day with BBQ. Please note that there are seventeen steps down to Esk Cottage. Esk cottage can be booked along with our Ropery cottage to accommodate up to 8 guests. There is a cot available on request. This cottage is within a quite residential area. HOUSE RULE REMINDER There is a strict rule of no use of Hot Tub after 10 pm or any excessive noise outside . we have neighbours who will report this directly back to us and will report it th authorities . I attach a video to show what our neighbours can experience if this policy is disregarded. We reserve the right to ask you to leave the property and persue any fines received due to antisocial behaviour at the property . The hot tub and outside lights are switched of automatically at 10pm. Neighbourhood information

Whitby is a historical castle town beaming with marine history and rich cultural heritage. It is the home of Whitby Abbey, which was made famous by Bram Stocker’s Dracula. Whitby is a great place to visit, with steep winding streets and little boutique shops selling local delicacies and handicrafts, with many top cafes ,restaurants, old world pubs and tearooms, mixed shopping streets selling everything from Goth clothing and jewellery to the world famous Whitby jet stone jewellery. Visit the port were Captain Cook first took to the seas, the harbour framed by grade 2 listed piers each with it’s own lighthouses. The coastline is part of the Jurassic coast renowned for it’s fossils. There are museums, art galleries and also the pavilion theatre that hosts a range of events in the summer and the Bram Stokers film festival every October. The wonderful Goth festival takes place twice a year, there is a yearly Regatta every August as well as folk festival and the steam Punk Weekend. There are numerous sea and land activities for adventurers with walk and cycle tracks to windsurfing. Other hidden gems include Runswick Bay, Staithes, Robin Hood’s Bay and Saltburn-by-the-sea.
