Our chalet is in prime position, close to parking and with unspoilt views across the valley. It is located on a peaceful park just a short drive from the historic and naval town of Dartmouth. It is fully equipped to enable you to enjoy a home from home experience in the glorious Devon countryside. Our well stocked kitchen with cooking utensils, pans and crockery enables you to enjoy home cooked food if desired. There are two bedrooms, one double and the other with two single beds. Both rooms have a blackout blind to maximise sleep comfort. The bathroom is spacious and includes a washing machine available to guests. There is also a large clothes dryer to help those beach towels and swim suits to dry. Past guests comment most on the peaceful location, scenic views and comfort offered in our chalet.
Chalet 238 is located in a tranquil and prime position with outstanding views stretching far into the valley.
Immediately outside the chalet is a flat grass area, perfect for morning coffee or a sunny BBQ. All linen and towels are provided.There is no electric coin meter in the chalet- cost of electric is included. The chalet complies with the latest fire safety legislation (October 2023).
Norton Park is a private, safe and quiet site set in the countryside with large areas of grass for walking or playing games with the family. There are also a number of picnic tables to enjoy alfresco dining or just watch the sun set.
Dartmouth is just 3 miles down the road and there is a Park and Ride 1 mile along the road making trips into Dartmouth hassle free. Norton Park has a bus stop outside the main entrance from which buses can be hailed either into Dartmouth or into Totnes.
Dartmouth is a bustling naval, sailing and fishing town located on the mouth of the river Dart. There are an abundance of cafés, restaurants, independent shops and art galleries in the centre and the famous Dartmouth Castle to visit.
Welcome to our beautiful holiday home in the glorious Devon countryside. Chalet 238, Valley View, was purchased this year and we are looking forward to sharing it with guests and families looking to make memories, spending time together in a relaxed setting.
Norton Park is based 3 miles outside Dartmouth. It is easily accessible with a bus stop immediately opposite the entrance. There is a park-and-ride system 1 mile down the road with regular buses into the centre of Dartmouth.
There are 2 large supermarkets located 1 mile from the holiday park.
Blackpool Sands is a short drive away (10 mins) and Brixham is just a hop across the ferry. Torquay, Paignton and Totnes are all accessible by car within 40 mins and the golden sandy beaches of Bigbury on Sea, Salcombe and Thurlestone are around 40 mins drive as well.
You can catch the ferry across to Kingswear to enjoy walks with glorious views over the estuary or hop aboard the steam train heading towards Paignton, which have unrivalled views along the way.
A 5 minute drive down the road is the area's only theme park, Woodlands. This provides hours of family fun in all weathers. There are rides, including water shutes and a vast soft play centre.
A visit to the Torbay area, approximately 30 mins away, gives access to Paignton beach, pier and zoo, Goodrington Sands and the outdoor water park, Splashdown Quaywest- a popular attraction for children.
