I live in the beautiful countryside near Ross on Wye, Herefordshire. I am married to my husband, Mark and I have a 20 year old son called Theo. Together, we own Lea Village Stores (a local, busy convenience store), a one minute drive down the hill from the apartment. My passions include sport, cooking, gardening, travelling and fitness. I use Booking .com as a guest all the time when I'm travelling and realise what an excellent service it is! Guests of the property will be welcomed with a mini food hamper. I hope you enjoy your stay!
The perfect location of this property is ideal for visiting many destinations and attractions very easily. Our very own Lea Village Stores, owned and ran by us as a family is just down the hill in Lea. There are several golf courses in the area. Close to the A40 and just 5 miles from the lovely town of Ross on Wye we are situated right on the edge of the glorious Royal Forest of Dean. It’s 12 miles into Gloucester with its beautiful Cathedral and The Quays and just 30 mins to Cheltenham town and the racecourse. Slightly further afield, but easily accessible are the The Cotswolds with many stunning villages and towns such as Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, and Burford. Bristol and Bath are less than an hours drive away.
The Wye Valley is magnificent countryside and is perfect for walkers, bikers and canoeists. Symonds Yat is very picturesque as is Tintern with its historic Abbey and Monmouth is only 25 minutes drive away.
Hereford is another beautiful Cathedral city (30 minutes away); as is
Cardiff with its castle and Millennium Stadium (one hour away). Wales has an abundance of castles and National Trust properties. Many are within easy reach of Dean End. We are fortunate to have many good restaurants and pubs in the area. One is renowned for it's pies!
