Segontium, a Roman fort and museum, is walkable from the town centre and offers fishing trips. Caernarfon has many shops and restaurants and is close to the Isle of Anglesey, the Lleyn Peninsula, and the mountains and rivers of Snowdonia, including Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon.
