Dolgoch Mill House, The Annexe
Welcome to Llanfair Caereinion, Wales
Located in Powys, mid—Wales, along the A458 in between Glascoed and Melin-Y-Ddol, an annexe retreat offering accommodation up to a family of four. Situated in a countryside location, with the beauty that mid-Wales and surrounding areas are known for, an ideal get-away, with plenty of places to explore.
Dolgoch Mill House is situated on the edge of a small village and was Llanfair Caereinion’s original Mill House, originally known as Ty Melin Dolgoch.

There is a comfortable, homely lounge/dining room area with dining table, a double sofa bed, a hundred year old upcycled Coalbrookdale log burner (fully compliant with current regulations), TV with freeview and complementary wi-fi.
In the main bedroom comprises of a spacious room with a blacksmith made double bed with bedside cabinets and chest of drawers.
The bathroom benefits from a spacious walk-in shower enclosure, high level toilet and sink.
There is parking for up to two cars with safe storage for cycles, canoes etc, if required. Prior agreement would be required if you wish to bring cycles or canoes with you.
We have five dogs, which are well trained, well behaved and friendly and are part of the main household.
The Village
In the village, are three lovely local pubs (originally there were 19!) within 5 minutes walking distance from Dolgoch Mill House. Each of the three remaining pubs offer a different ambiance, and although there’s only three, they make an ideal pub-crawl (probably just as well there isn’t 19 pubs anymore, imagine!).
Also within the village is an old school butchers shop offering fresh, local produce, a small local shop/Spar and post office, fuel and workshop garage with an on-site shop, Londis. Handy for any essentials you may need during your stay.
At the top of the Village, there is an early 13th Century Church, St Mary’s, which underwent a full rebuild in 1868 and sits just above the River Banwy.
We are in a Dark Sky area so night time stargazing is amazing.
We are on the river Banwy and have an abundance of wildlife including a great variety of birds ( Swallows and Blue tits nest and fledge on the hose every year) Bats and fish to observe.
