Situated in rural countryside Dreamwood Cottage is a luxury 4 star accredited lodge which was converted from an 18th century outbuilding, once part of the Kilmanarock School. The School was built circa 1780 and is now a family home where the owner lives. Architecturally designed and meeting modern construction standards, Siberian Larch clads a new extension to the original stone building creating a unique space ideal for 2 to 4. A great place to explore Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park.

Gartocharn, Scotland, United Kingdom Dreamwood Cottage is situated on the A811 one mile from Gartocharn and three miles from Drymen. Adjoins Loch Lomond RSPB Reserve. It is in the beautiful Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and perfectly situated for exploring all the park has to offer. Drymen is a lovely village situated on the West Highland Way (long distance walking route) and has plenty of places to eat out. Balloch is only 4 miles away with more options for eating out or takeaways. If you want a day off from hiking, biking or sailing then Stirling, with its historical sites, is only 30 minute drive away and Glasgow a similar distance with its many museums and shopping options. There are endless things to do and see on the loch itself or at local attractions. To get the most of your stay its always best to have a car but there is a bus service which will pick up and drop off outside the house. The 309 bus from Balloch to Balmaha operates every two hours or so from 6.30 am to 10 pm. The nearest train station is Balloch with half-hourly service to Glasgow.
