The 3 cottages have been converted from old cow sheds and sit proudly together allowing guests to book one or all 3 for group bookings. You can walk directly from your front door and within a few seconds you can walk among the trees and take in the stunning landscape. The cottages are decorated in a maximalist style, giving you the feeling of dark and moody but yet surprisingly cosy with no expense spared on super comfy beds and black out curtains and blinds.
Drumdelgie was once the largest farm in Scotland and has been immortalized in the bothy balled called "Hash o' Drumdelgie" and will you find many an old folk in Huntly willingly sing it to you in the local pubs on an evening out! Huntly is just 5 minutes by car and various takeaways do deliver here. We will be adding many more features this year and over the coming years so please do check in and see how we are progressing.
Each cottage has their own garden area with plenty of seating, BBQ and firepits. You can buy charcoal, firelighters directly from us. This year we are hoping to add a gathering/shared outdoor gazebo with comfy seating and later an outdoor kitchen. We do currently have a stable with outdoor games and toys for both adults and children which we will be adding to.
In all honesty we simply want quests to feel at ease and enjoy their stay no matter if you are here for a wedding or working, on your own or in a group. We are very laid back and keep well out of the way so you may never see us while you are here unless guests want or need to otherwise. If you book all 3 cottages and want a bit of shindig and need help arranging this we will do what we can. If the weather is lovely and you want a paddling pool for the little one, not a problem. We are always up for a laugh and enjoy the quirky side of things in life. We have hosted wedding groups attending Aswanley providing breakfast buffets for 14 and small ceillidh dances with evening buffet. As we do not have light pollution and we are situated 200meters above sea level the northern lights can easily be seen when it appears. We signal this to guest by turning the stable lights off, if you see the lights are off, go to the front door and look up to your left! Better still, dress up warm, grab a torch (we do provide these) and walk up the small hill behind the cottages.
If you are in need of something, just ask we maybe able to help such as having a grocery delivery before your arrival. In need of ideas of the local area then please check out our web site and look for the page "On the Jolly" here you will find an abundance of things to see and do.

Hunlty has a beautiful play park down by the old Castle and right next the river Deveron which in summer is filled with local kids swimming and families having BBQ's.
