East Dunster Deer Farm is over looking the beautiful rolling hills of Mid Devon countryside. We farm red deer which can often be seen close up by the garden fence. Particularly early morning and evening. See the young calves between June and August or hear the stags roaring during the rutting season in the Autumn - September/October. We have a large garden and pond which you can wonder around. Or sit by the pond watching the array of bird and wildlife with a glass of wine.
We lived in Zimbabwe for 8 years with our 3 children. We love to go and visit when possible. Particularly my husband who loves to do a spot of Tiger fishing on the Zambezi or Lake Kariba. Luckily we enjoy gardening as we have a large garden!
We are half a mile from the small village of Cadeleigh which has a lovely community run pub which serves good homemade cooking. Also only 2 miles from the postcard picturesque village of Bickleigh which has 3 places to eat. Fishermans Cot - which is overlooking the River Exe, The Trout Inn and Bickleigh Mill - which also is a great place to shop. The city of Exeter is only 25 mins away and the historic market town of Tiverton 15 minutes away. We are only 20 minutes away from 2 lovely National Trust properties - Knighthayes and Killerton - both have lovely walks and gardens to roam.
