Stunning views overlooking Rutland Water are offered at The Finch’s Arms, a 17th-century country inn in the pretty village of Hambleton. It provides elegant, chic rooms with luxury toiletries and cosy bathrobes. Light and modern, every room includes a sleek private bathroom with a walk-in shower or roll-top bath. Some rooms boast views over Rutland Water, and all rooms also include a flat-screen TV, mineral water, and tea/coffee facilities. With beamed ceilings and historic, original features, the cosy bar provides hearty meals, real ales, and an open fire. The restaurant serves fresh, seasonal dishes, made with local produce. The shores of Rutland Water are just a 10-minute walk away, and various watersports can be enjoyed on the water. Horse riding is offered in the nearby Bluebell Woods, which is 15 minutes’ drive away.
