Set in 125 acres of formal gardens, this 13th-century double-moated castle offers luxurious yet modern bedrooms with free Wi-Fi. Access is via the private gated entrance and guests have free parking in a private car park. The rooms at Hever Castle are beautifully appointed and individually styled with some rich fabrics and antique furnishing. They are located in the Astor Wing and the Anne Boleyn Wing of the castle and set apart from the area's the day visitors have access to. The Moat Restaurant serves lunch on days when the castle is open to the public. It offers a choice of hot and cold food, and a variety of freshly made sandwiches and castle-baked cakes are also available. There is a wonderful pub within walking distance for evening meals. Breakfast is served to guests in the Astor Wing or the Anne Boleyn Wing. The castle has historic 16th century portraits, paintings, furniture and tapestries. Access is included in the bed and breakfast rate and the gardens can also be privately enjoyed by guests outside of opening times. The golf club is just a 2-minute drive. Local places of interest include Chartwell and Penshurst Place.

During a stay guests will have the opportunity to explore the Castle and gardens. Take a tour around the Castle and discover the panelled rooms adorned with impressive furniture, tapestries and antiques. Discover the beautifully laid Italian Garden displaying Astor's collection of Italian sculpture. Take a walk around the 38 acre lake, enjoy the year round plantings that bring the gardens to life in a different way each month of the year. For children there's an adventure playground, a maze and a water maze and in the summer months there's the jousting tournaments that never fail to impress both children and adults alike! If you are a golfer there's the 27 hole Championship Golf Course and for theatre lovers, enjoy a picnic or pre-theatre supper with a production under the canopy of the open air theatre. So much to do for everyone!

Property information

The charming Castle at Hever has a rich and varied history dating back more than 700 years. The childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII's second wife who became queen of England for 1000 days. More recently, and what visitors will see today, William Waldorf Astor bought the Castle in 1903 and created the Astor Wing in Tudor style, an extension to Hever Castle and home to our Luxury five star gold Bed and Breakfast.

Please note that Hever Castle Luxury Bed and Breakfast can only take bookings up to 8 weeks in advance in the Astor Wing and 6 months in advance in the Anne Boleyn Wing.

Please note that guests staying in bedrooms in the Astor Wing have access to a lounge and a Billiards Room. Anne Boleyn Wing guests have a beautiful breakfast room to enjoy during their stay with castle views and also have access to the Astor Wing lounge and Billiards Room if the Astor Wing is not booked out for a private event. Please note that there is no access to the property after midnight.

Please be aware that although the accommodation may be open, Hever Castle and it's gardens are not open every day from 01 November to early February. Opening dates and times can be found on the website.

Not all bedrooms can accommodate extra beds or baby cots for children. These are subject to availability at the time of booking.

Some rooms offer a double sofa bed, only available for children under 12 to use. The cost is GBP 50 for 1 child. If 2 small children are sharing a sofa bed an extra breakfast will be charged for at check-in.
