Hiraeth Homestay is an 1850's townhouse, a quiet home with lots of remaining character features, the accommodation is right in the heart of Llangollen.
The double room (with garden view) is on the top floor (2nd floor) with bathroom on the (1st floor)
**Please note may not suit individual's that are infirm (have physical weakness).**
The fact that the bedroom is not ensuite is reflected in the price.
The room has an Oriental feel, this is emphasised by the wallpaper of people engaging with each other in the countryside, the Chinese hand painted landscape painting, framed & on the wall & orchids & other plants in the room.
The garden view room at Hiraeth Homestay has tea / coffee making facilities, a toaster & a small fridge.
Free Wi-Fi is also available. In the shared bathroom there is a selection of toiletries for you ( in case you have forgotten anything!)
A quiet home base, with lots of character features. The property is centrally located for you to be able to walk only 5 minutes into the town & the surrounding countryside.

The house is opposite St Collen's Parish Church and it's famous carved wooden ceiling. Ten minutes away is the Shropshire Union canal and the opportunity to spend time on a canal boat (to hire for the day) or take a trip on a horse drawn boat or alternatively a kayak, from the many outdoor centres in the area. Or just enjoy a gentle walk on the canal towpath to either The Horseshoe Falls or the World famous Froncysyllte Aqueduct designed by Thomas Telford. Plas Newydd, is also a famous landmark, a beautiful wooden house built by the famous Ladies of Llangollen. A 40 minute walk away is the stunning ruins of Dinas Bran Castle or in another direction Valle Crucis Abbey. The Horseshoe Pass is a steep climb for any cyclist keen to conquer the route.
Snowdon is just over an hour away, as are many other interesting beauty spots including Harlech, it's beautiful beach & Castle. Conwy, & its great RSPB Centre, Portmeirion, Bodnant Gardens, Betwys Y Coed, and in a different direction driving into the borders there is Powis Castle in Welshpool, Lake Vrnwy, Erdigg in Wrexham and into England there is Shrewsbury & the historic town of Chester both approximately 25 miles away from Llangollen in differing directions. Just over an hour away are the cities of Liverpool & Manchester.
