A Historic House, Reimagined
Originally built in 1906 as a hotel, Kingsley House has been lovingly restored into a magnificent retreat set within two acres of secluded grounds. Just two miles from Haslemere station—with direct trains to London Waterloo from 47 minutes: it’s both a peaceful escape and perfectly connected.
Space to Unwind
Guests have access to generous communal areas, including:
A cinema lounge with a wood-burning stove and comfortable seating for cosy evenings in.
A panelled dining room where breakfast is served each morning.
Outdoor patios and garden furniture scattered across the grounds, perfect for soaking up the peace of the South Downs.
Step outside, and long walks through rolling countryside, charming pubs, and excellent dining options are all on the doorstep. Further afield, you’ll find Goodwood (horse racing), Cowdray Park (polo), and a selection of renowned golf courses and vineyards producing England's finest sparkling wines.
Beautiful Bedrooms & Suites
Each room has been designed to offer space, comfort, and a touch of indulgence:
Bedroom 1 – A comfortable dual-aspect bedroom with sitting area and en-suite shower room.
Suite 3 – A large bedroom suite with its own sitting area, dressing room, and generous en-suite shower room.
Suite 5 – A spacious bedroom with separate lounge area and en-suite shower room with a large private terrace overlooking the south-facing gardens.
All bedrooms include access to the communal cinema lounge, outdoor spaces, and gardens. A guest cloakroom is also available on the ground floor.
The Little Things That Matter
From breakfast in the panelled dining room to evenings by the fire or quiet moments in the garden, everything at Kingsley House Escapes has been designed with one goal in mind: to help guests feel at ease. Whether you’re here for work, a countryside break, or simply to relax, we adapt to your needs.
Welcome to Kingsley House
We’re Craig and Duncan, and we've stayed in some amazing places around the world. More recently and often with our gentle Great Dane, Hudson, in tow we've been exploring the best the UK has to offer. We’ve poured everything we’ve learned about great hospitality into creating Kingsley House. For us, the joy of hosting is about seeing guests instantly relax—whether that’s with a glass of wine on the terrace, a cosy evening by the fire, or a day out exploring the South Downs.
Our favourite part is helping each stay feel effortless: arranging a dinner reservation, pointing you towards a vineyard or country walk, or simply giving you the space to switch off. Nothing is too much trouble, and we love knowing our home adapts to whatever pace you choose.
What Guests Love About the Area
