This unique property is a gorgeous one-bedroom apartment refurbished from a neglected, dreary and unloved slice of history into an award-winning cosy, warm and opulent environment in which to relax. Whether you like reading, writing letters, sleeping, walking or just sitting in private grounds relaxing with a croissant and coffee, this is the place to enjoy it.
There is magnificent plasterwork around the high ceiling, a complete kitchen for easy food preparation and service, a large smart 3D smart TV with 3D glasses and DVDs to watch, Sky TV, washer and tumble dryer, dishwasher, free superfast broadband and wifi throughout, very high quality linens on the large King size bed (with a 3000 pocket sprung mattress), bath robes, slippers, extra towels and toiletries.
A very important point is that whilst we don't accept animals at any time, the reason is that the entire apartment is feather-free to cater for asthma sufferers or those who are intolerant to natural feathers. This is our point of difference.
My name is Shani and passion is what has driven me to completely renovate this beautiful apartment to create a charming and unique atmosphere for a holiday rental by the river. A dedicated commitment to retaining the building’s original character during the recent refurbishment alongside a passion for providing every luxury and mod cons to ensure holidaymakers can find everything they might need. A real home from home. Happily my previous experience in period building renovation has ensured that the original features are protected and celebrated at every turn. Re-using the original timber and plaster work was key and even up-cycling articles from the local council recycling centre featured highly in my motivation for an ethical and environmentally friendly apartment.
“Make full use of the old before investing in new” and I said that every day.
Gorleston-on-Sea is a small seaside town with a spectacular award-winning beach which is just under a mile away from Koolunga-Larch. We are situated exactly on Britain's Coastal Walk which takes you along the River Yare either into Great Yarmouth or towards Gorleston Pier and then on towards Lowestoft. It's very popular with walkers, boaters (on the nearby Broads), fishermen (3 fishing shops in Gorleston), sun-worshippers, golfers and foodies. There are some super restaurants within staggering distance as well as many take-away restaurants.
There is a bus stop right outside Koolunga House which goes to Great Yarmouth and then on to Norwich, or into Gorleston and then Lowestoft in the other direction. The River Yare is a working river which means that you'll be able to watch some really interesting vessels travelling along the river. There is minimal noise from these ships.
