Me and my Husband Paul live at the other end of the lake. We appeared on the Channel TV series, Grand Designs in September 2019, Lincolnshire Roundhouse We look after all of our guests. We are on hand 24/7 for any queries. We do go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay with us. We do leave you alone and leave yourselves to it, but we will be available if needed. The site is very remote and the nearest shop is a co op just under 1 mile away. There is a brilliant fish & chip shop next door to the co op and quite a few take away and food delivery services. All Cabins overlap the beautiful 3 acre fishing lake. You have a very large veranda to fish from or simply sit back and chill soaking up the surrounding sounds of nature. This is a quiet retreat so no loud parties/music etc. This is a peaceful chill out site. So, not all same sex 'parties'. This site is laid back, relaxed and chilled vibe only. The fish in the lake are in pristine condition as we do not allow day ticket fishing, so no mouths ripped to shreds, etc. Only experienced Fishing people please. Species of fish in the lake are: All Carp, Cats, Bream, Barbell, Tench, Roach, Rudd and perch. The biggest caught was a 36lb Grass Carp. The average catch is 12lb Carp, but there are some big monsters in there if you want to go set up in any of the swims away from the cabins. All fish are to be returned alive and unharmed back to the lake. You can also bring a bivvy to set up anywhere around the lake. The best feature, apart from the cabins, for me, is the views and the Sun Set - magical! Newly opened on our sister site across the road (Lakeside Fishing Retreats PE22 9QZ) is the Pizza Shed and Bar open from 8.30am -23.00pm for tea,coffee and cake, with pizza freshly made and served from 5.00pm -22.00pm.
