We both love living in this area with the New Forest Commons just five minutes walk from the house and two excellent beaches in Calshot and Lepe to walk our dogs just five minutes drive down the road.

Langley House is a 200 year old Grade 2 listed building with all the character and charm which you would expect from a the era. There are four different rooms to choose form on the first floor. "Elm" is a charming east facing room with a super king sized blue velvet bed an settee which catches the early morning rising sun and bird chorus. "Ash" faces the south and therefore has a Calshot Castle theme to it. It sports a four poster super king sized bed but also a set of novel castle effect bunk beds for the kids making it the ideal family of four room for your get away. "Yew" is a Double room, south westerly facing and has the effect of sleeping in canopies of the New Forest. "Oak" is a Double room overlooking the rear patio and garden fountain. There are two shared bathrooms on this floor and each room has its own sink with hot and cold running water, tea and coffee making facilities, small refrigerator for milk, water bottles and cans only. A hairdryer, Smart TV with internet connection. A light Breakfast is provided in each room of porridge pots, cereals, biscuits, croissants and jam. Wendy's our local Cafe is two minutes up the road in Blackfield, an excellent cooked breakfast !

A plethora of local public houses to choose from and all the water sports facilities you can imagine right at hand to enjoy the southern coastline of the Solent.
Locally we are spoilt for choice of entertainments. Hythe marina, Calshot activity centre, Ashlett Creek, Exbury Gardens, Beaulieu River and Motor Museum, Bucklers Hard. You can see the New Forest Ponies, Donkeys and Deer roaming freely across the massive commons.
The New Forest offers hundreds of walks and adventures. We are only a short drive away from Lymington, Lyndhurst, Hursts Castle, Christchurch, New Milton and Bournemouth.
You can catch a bus from right outside the house which takes just 45 mins straight into Southampton. Why not catch the Hythe Ferry across the water to the West Quays shopping centre or the Red Jet ferry to Cowes on the Isle of Wight. There is the Historic Town of Portsmouth and of course if you want a pre or post cruise stop over we are well situated.
