Lindon Guest House is a converted Dales barn in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park in the village of Airton in the heart of Malhamdale. We have beautiful panoramic limestone views of Malham Cove.
All bedrooms have up to date shower en-suite facilities, TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and free WI-FI.
Spacious guest lounge with an open fire, separate dining room and a licensed bar/reception area, ample off road parking.
We provide a two course set evening dinner ( main course and dessert) followed by coffee and Petit Fours.
Booking is essential, vegetarians welcome by arrangement. Available 5 nights a week ( except on Thursdays & Sundays).
Lindon House has been run as a family business since 1978 ( some of our guest have been coming over 40 years).
Ian and myself have been running Lindon Guest House for the last 16 years.
We have an 80 acre farm in the Dale where we lamb 180 ewes.
Ian is a trained chef formerly working in Harrogate and the Lake District.
In the village of Airton we have the beautiful River Aire with the Pennine Way running along side which is our most popular walk and will take you to Malham village and on to Malham Cove and Malham Tarn. Other amazing places are Gordale Scar and Janet's Foss.
We have many local footpaths running through the village of Airton and throughout the Dales.
The market town of Settle with its famous Settle- Carlisle Railway is 6 miles away over beautiful moorland where you can encounter Highland cows. Nine miles in the opposite direction there is the well known market town of Skipton with its castle, Leeds-Liverpool canal and much loved street market.
A few miles further we have Bolton Abbey with beautiful footpaths through spectacular riverside woodland.
Slightly longer journeys maybe made to Fountains Abbey, Harrogate, Ilkley, Haworth and Bronte country, Hawes with its Wensleydale Creamery, picturesque village of Grassington presently the location for the filming of 'All creatures great and small', Ingelton and Aysgarth with their amazing waterfalls and just over the border into Lancashire the wilderness of the Trough-of Bowland.
Famous railways (long and short)- Settle to Carlisle over Ribblehead viaduct, Bolton Abbey steam railway and Worth Valley Railway near Haworth.
