Welcome to Little Acres, our delightful studio cabin that sits on the edge of the New Forest National Park.
Little Acres has been newly refurbished to the highest specification. With its beautifully muted colour tones and open plan living it offers perfect respite to guests whilst being nestled in our amazing bit of the countryside in Hampshire. The studio offers dining and sleeping area with a separate large ensuite. Double French doors lead out to a rustic brick paved patio area where you can sit and enjoy the views in the south facing sun (hopefully, can’t guarantee it : ).
In addition to the studio, we have an original Victorian Shepherds Hut that has been lovingly restored and will be fully accessible to our guests as an additional peaceful space in which to read or relax.
Facilities include WIFI, a smart TV, ample storage, a kitchen area with fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle (no cooker). The ensuite offers a generous sized walk-in shower, WC and electric towel rail. The cabin has been fully insulated to a very high standard with additional heating installed to make sure its cosy all year round.
One small dog would be welcome (we do have a small quiet dog ourselves). We provide towels for humans as well as ones for cleaning muddy paws. If bringing a dog please be mindful we are surrounded by wonderful country fields full of livestock, so your four-legged family member needs to be happy with cows, calves, horses and sheep, however, please do not leave the dog unattended.
The accommodation sits in the garden of the family home. We offer a separate parking area for two cars or a large vehicle, gateway and a fenced area offering privacy to the house.
I've always loved hosting with friends and family, I love cooking and having guests to Little Acres seemed like the natural next step. Can't wait for you to share a little bit of our heaven.
There is a public footpath which runs parallel to the cabin will take you directly into Stuckon a small hamlet in the civil parish of Hyde in the Avon Valley. The picturesque surroundings offer lush greenery with traditional English countryside charm. The area is popular for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling and horse- riding.
There’s a pub and restaurant ‘The Three Lions’ a short walk across the fields and two stiles away (remember that on the way home). There are also various pubs walking distance away in the former market town of Fordingbridge. Fordingbridge is famed for its seven arch medieval bridge which crosses the River Avon at the centre of town. The town has a range of diverse shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes.
Incredible beaches are a 30 minutes’ drive away including Hengistbury head, Mudeford & Highcliff, some are dog friendly all year round.
The medieval cathedral city of Salisbury, Stonehenge, Ringwood, Poole, Lymington & Bournemouth are all easily accessible by car. There is a bus stop within walking distance of the cabin with hourly pick-ups / drop offs to Salisbury and Bournemouth amongst other destinations enroute.
The River Avon also offers ample opportunities to fish for keen fisherman (with a permit).
There is a waterski park and sailing lakes with a plethora of activities.
We aim to ensure your time spent at Little Acres is an enjoyable experience and will endeavour to ensure that happens.
