    The location of the property was excellent for our purposes. We were attending a music night at Sandringham which was a 15 minute drive away. Also a short walk into the village where we ate at the village pub.

Overlooking Roydon Common Nature Reserve, Little Birches is a delightful and comfortable modern, dog friendly annexe in the village of Roydon, which borders HM The King's Sandringham Estate. The much-loved North Norfolk coastline is just a 15 minute drive away, as is the historic town of Kings Lynn and its many excellent amenities.

Neighbourhood information

Roydon is a small village just a few minutes from the A148 and A149, providing easy access to both the North Norfolk coast and the inland countryside. Originally forming part of historic Castle Rising, the village borders the Royal estate at Sandringham. You can spend a day touring Sandringham house, the beautiful gardens and the museum. Explore the parkland at Sandringham Royal Park, which now boasts an impressive playground. Roydon Common National Nature Reserve is classified as an international Site of Special Scientific Interest thus attracts walkers and birdwatchers from across the UK. Home to a number rare species of insects, the birdlife includes nightjars, woodlarks and great grey shrike. The village has two pubs, the Union Jack, which has twice been CAMRA Norfolk Inn of the year, and The Three Horseshoes, a traditional country pub serving good quality food. There is a village shop two miles away in Grimston, with a butcher's shop one mile away in Pott Row. The nearest beaches are at Snettisham, Heacham and Hunstanton.
