A lovely terraced Victorian house close to the city centre, with a sunny back yard, cosy, yet spacious rooms. The house has recently been decorated and is fresh and clean. The rooms are spacious and there is ample space for clothing storage, mirrors in each room, and plenty of cooking/dining items. The back yard is a sun trap and you can expect to enjoy the sunshine for most of the day. The bathroom is located downstairs. York city centre is a five minute walk away and the property is close to all of Yorks attractions. There is on street parking available, and there are also free parking areas a short distance away, if you were not needing your vehicle during your stay (drop bags and leave car). The house is located in a safe neighbourhood and is close to The Foss Fairy Trail, a lovely walk along the river Foss. There is a Sainsburys supermarket across the road, for groceries and bus stop which allows you to take a bus all over the city. Monks Cross and Vangard shopping parks are on this side of town and have an arrray of shops and leisure amenities, such as bowling/swimming/cinema. You will be perfectly located here, whether arriving by car or train-the station is a short walk through the city, past the Minster.

I love hosting - I have another couple of properties in York which have been used as holiday lets since 2018, and I really enjoy meeting new people and helping guests when they are visiting a new place. I have lived in York since I came here for university in 1999 and did not want to leave! I am available to give information on local things to do, places to see, attractions to visit. I have three dogs and love exercising and keeping fit, along with travelling with my family.

Close to the fabulous Foss Fairy Trail, Foss river and only a five minute walk in to the city centre. Safe neighbourhood, just out of the city centre noise, but close enough to enjoy a very short walk in via Monkgate.
