The private garden, terrace and hot tub provide the perfect place to relax, with alfresco dining under the shade of the ancient 800 year old oak tree. Access beautiful countryside walks straight from your door or explore Chester and Shrewsbury, only a short drive away.

Oak Tree Hideaway has been recently renovated to provide a contemporary living space whilst retaining the original features.
The hideaway boasts an open plan living space downstairs, including a fully equipped modern kitchen with a Stoves electric hob and fan cooker, microwave, fridge (with freezer compartment) Dualit coffee machine, toaster and Kettle.
The living space includes two Loaf sofas for ultimate comfort and the smart TV to enjoy netflix, the sofa bed enables the hideaway to accommodate the maximum number of guests to 4.
The bathroom comprises a toilet, basin and electric power shower, heated towel rail. luxury towels will be provided.
After a long day of adventuring or to continue relaxing, you can sink into the kingsize Loaf bed and Hypnos mattress with luxury bed linen including: feather down duvet and pillows.
The first floor also offers hanging hooks with coat hangers to allow you to hang any items you wish, as well as, a chest of drawers and a Loaf munchkin arm chair. Please note there is a height restriction to the first floor bedroom.
In the fully enclosed garden, there is a table and chairs and a patio to enjoy outdoor dining, along with the provided Weber BBQ.
The hot tub gives guests the ultimate way to relax enjoying the fresh air in all seasons, whilst enjoying a glass of bubbly.

Oak Tree hideaway is situated in the Gredington Estate and is surrounded by beautiful fields, hedgerows and woodlands ( please note you cannot access the woodlands as they are private to the Gredington estate)
The closest village to the hideaway is Hanmer, with only an 8 minute drive or a 45 minute walk along the main road. Hanmer offers a friendly welcome at the Hanmer post office and shop and St Chads church overlooking the mere which can be used for open water swimming.
Whitchurch and Ellesmere are the closest towns, with only a 15 minute drive to each. Chester and Shrewsbury are a 50 minute drive which are both great for a day out to explore.
If you enjoy walking, there are plenty of walks on your door step or if you prefer to explore the area you will need a car.

Alderford Lake has wild activities which includes walks through the woods
Ellesmere is a lovely walk around the mere and The Boathouse is dog friendly.
There is a lovely walk along the canal near the horse and Jockey pub at Grindly Brook.
Walks in Llangollen enjoy the waterways from Llangollen wharf to Pontcysyllte aqueduct.
