In the vicinity of the Carbis Bay Hotel, The Bach ('batch' kiwi for holiday home) has been reappointed to offer 3 spacious double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a large light-filled kitchen/diner, a 6-seater hot tub, in which you can luxuriate after a day on the beach or out walking, a double aspect lounge with French doors leading onto its own patio with a bistro table and chairs to capture the morning sun, and a snug room. From the moment you step into the house you are greeted with luxury, with the spacious and comfortable lounge having two sumptuous sofas, a modern and sleek remote-controlled gas stove fire and 50-inch smart TV. The cosy snug room boasts a comfortable leather sofa with footstool, a high-quality, compact wi-fi speaker and a 32-inch smart TV for those who just want to ‘get away from it all’, read a book or just listen to music. The well-equipped kitchen/diner has a Smeg range cooker with gas hob, an American style fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, microwave and L’Or coffee machine. The kitchen leads directly to the south-facing outside area via another set of French doors, and has been designed with all groups in mind; as well as the kitchen dining table there is a larger dining table, with parasol on the expansive, outside patio, near the hot tub. 2 sunbeds complete the sun-trapped rear patio area. Again, with all groups in mind and completing the ground floor, there is a spacious double bedroom, with its modern bathroom at the end of the hallway which has a large, waterfall shower, and rolltop bath. Heading upstairs, the large main bedroom has a king size bed with 32-inch smart TV and a modern, generously-proportioned ensuite bathroom with a spacious waterfall shower. The third bedroom can either be configured as 2 singles, or a super-king when joined together by a zip & link, with this bedroom having an ensuite bathroom with shower cubicle. All bedrooms are equipped with a hairdryer and wall length mirror.
Hosting for some 17 years now after buying The Bach in 2008 (and appearing on Homes Under the Hammer!) the house has been furnished with holiday makers in mind to make their stay as enjoyable as possible. With several recent improvements, just a few minutes’ walk from Carbis Bay beach, this luxuriously appointed holiday home provides comfort and supreme tranquillity, privacy and security, being located at the end of a private lane with no passing traffic. With parking for several cars, a real bonus is being able to leave your car behind you, yet be in bustling St Ives with its many varied shops, restaurants and pubs, within 3 minutes with the coastal carriage train service, which is just a few minutes’ walking distance from the house, or by foot, just under two miles walk, along the coastal path. To the front of the house the driveway can accommodate several cars, and there is a 2-car carport which also has sturdy racks for mounting bikes after a day’s cycling, and a wetsuit area to hang and dry.
Away from the house, in addition to Carbis Bay beach, there are 3 other beaches within walking distance. There are numerous supermarkets, shops, bars, and restaurants all within comfortable reach of The Bach, as well as countryside walks. A particular nomination, only a couple of miles from the house is Trink Dairy where the cow milking can be seen at certain times of the week, with the opportunity to purchase their produce.
