Detached period farm house, dating back to 1722, is situated in the heart of the Ribble Valley, approximately 8 miles from Clitheroe, where there are many independent shops, coffee shops and restaurants, including Holmes Mill. Close by is also the famous Inn at Whitewell Hotel. The house has 3 acres of land with a small wooded area and natural pond. The house has 2 lounges, 4 good sized double bedrooms and farm house kitchen with Aga and offers a wonderful place to relax for all country lovers.
We enjoy the countryside and hope you have a passion for the outdoor life too? Taking a simple walk around the field, listening the the sound of silence is very relaxing. Spring its wonderful to see the surrounding fields full of baby lambs. Summer you can enjoy the later summer evenings, enjoy a walk down the lane. Autumn we are surrounded by pheasants, so be careful driving up the lane, they have the right of way! During the winter months you may catch a snow fall, changing the landscape to a breath taking picture.
The Ribble Valley has amazing pubs and restaurants in every village town offering traditional pub menus to something very different. In the center of Clitheroe we have Holmes Mill which has a brewery, beer hall, cafe, farm shop & an Everyman cinema. The town of Clitheroe has a castle dating back to the 12th century and has a museum open most days from 12 noon - 4pm. The town is over looked by Pendle Hill, notorious for witch craft centuries ago.
