Laneside is a family home in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Set in picturesque Glaisdale our fully ensuite private bed and breakfast room, Meadowsweet, has everything you need for a comfortable stay in a breathtaking setting. Painted in pearl grey with colourful accents such as meadow inspired fabric blinds and warm wood tones it's the perfect place to relax. We want guests to feel comfortable during their stay so it was a priority to us to ensure there was space to make drinks and prepare a light breakfast with in room access to a fridge, kettle and toaster. You'll find wine glasses and a bottle opener in the room as well as cutlery, crockery and water glasses. Meadowsweet has views across all aspects of the surrounding valley. Guests can enjoy outdoor spaces including the garth, a gated parcel of land set to the front of the property. There is a bench to sit, relax and enjoy the wonderful countryside views. Our breakfast includes homemade bread and jams, butter, yogurts, milk and fresh juice alongside a selection of sweet and savoury spreads and porridge pots. Tea and coffee are provided. The room is equipped with a Nespresso machine and 40 inch tv with freesat box, Egyptian cotton bath sheets and handtowels and a selection of toiletries.
Your hosts are Katy and Stephen Simpson. We live and work from home and enjoy hosting and travelling. Both hailing from Yorkshire we moved to Glaisdale in October 2021 and are slowly building a portfolio of beautiful places to stay on our property all with different remits.
Glaisdale is a small village within the Esk Valley approximately 20 minutes from Whitby. We are lucky to be sited within the stunning North Yorkshire Moors National Park benefitting from landscapes spanning moorland, dale, forest and coast.
