A stunning Hebridean hideaway that offers a blend of escapism, tranquillity and adventure.
Overlooking an Atlantic Ocean sea loch, 20A Kirkibost is located in the land of the midnight sun, where you will enjoy the wild beauty of the Outer Hebrides. This includes a unique landscape of the sea, sky, sun and the Uig hills blending seamlessly into the natural surroundings.
We invite you to our new build home on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis, to experience the perfect relaxed holiday retreat and immerse yourselves in the peace and tranquillity of Hebridean island life.
Our holiday home has 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6 and up to 2 dogs are welcome.
A warm welcome from Sharon & Eric
We are Sharon & Eric, the owners of 20A Kirkibost. Eric is originally from Back on the Isle of Lewis, where he resided until leaving the island for student life at the age of 17. Sharon is originally from London. We met through work and, following visits to Lewis, we decided to build a home on the island.
We started the house build in January 2022, although the project actually started some three years earlier. A series of unexpected incidents including a global pandemic and a “broken” Bernera bridge meant our project was significantly delayed. Finally in early 2023 we moved into our beautiful home. Sharon spent several months getting it “just perfect”, whilst Eric spent most of the time home working from bedroom 3.
We are now based in Devon (talk about one end of the country to the other!) but still enjoy trips back to our Hebridean home. We decided we would offer the house as a holiday let to enable others to enjoy all 20A Kirkibost and the island has to offer when we are not using it ourselves.
We hope you have a wonderful time exploring all that Lewis & Harris have to offer, and we would love to hear from you about your stay.
The Outer Hebrides is a paradise of breath-taking landscapes. From the white sandy beaches of Harris to the rugged cliffs of Lewis, the islands boast an awe-inspiring tapestry of untouched nature. Explore the dramatic mountains, meandering lochs, and expansive moorlands that stretch as far as the eye can see.
Immerse yourself in a vibrant tapestry of Gaelic traditions and ancient history. The islands are home to fascinating archaeological sites, ancient stone circles, and well-preserved historical landmarks such as the famous Callanish Standing Stones. Engage with the friendly locals, who hold on to their traditions, and savour the unique music, dance, and language that define the Hebridean culture.
Adventure seekers will find a plethora of activities to indulge in. Experience world-class fishing, kayaking, sailing, and surfing amidst the azure waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Embark on exhilarating hikes, bike rides, and wildlife-spotting expeditions across the islands, where otters, seals, eagles, and puffins roam freely.
The Islands of Lewis and Harris also offer some of the best surfing conditions in Europe.
