If you love Alice in Wonderland this is the place for you! This bright & sunny cottage is in the centre of a row of Fisherman's cottages, built in 1890. It was completely refurbished in 2022, opening up the kitchen to include an island & changing the old bath to a large walk in shower. The cottage also has lots of hidden surprises! There is a lovely sunny Courtyard with table & chairs at the back. And it is only a one minute level walk to Babbacombe Downs with all it's bars, bistros, cafes & restaurants & views over the sea. This two bedroom cottage can either be set up as a Double & a King or a Double & a Twin. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge so it can easily accommodate up to six guests. A travel cot can also be made available. The downstairs has solid wood flooring & dogs are welcome, however we request that they are not allowed upstairs. Throws are provided if they wish to sit on the lounge furniture.

I live just minutes away with my husband of 33 years, our 2 grown up sons having fled the nest. So I am on call if you have any queries. Inspired by Timothy Oulton, I designed & created "The Rabbit Hole." A cottage with an Alice in Wonderland theme. It took me 3.5 months working alongside the builders to put it all together. I did have an Agent running it for me but now I have a little more time I decided to do it myself. I hope you love it as much as I do!

The cottage is in Babbacombe, just off Babbacombe Downs where you'll find fantastic view over the whole of Lyme Bay as far as Exmouth. There are bars, bistros, cafes & restaurants all along The Downs overlooking the sea. There are 2 beaches about half a mile away in either direction. Babbacombe beach with the Cary Arms, (pub, hotel & spa) & a fishing pier. And Oddicombe beach accessible by foot or the funicular railway with a large cafe & seating area right next to the sand. There is an award winning fish & chip shop in the same road as the cottage. And angels tea rooms with it's delicious cream teas at the end of the road. There are a row of local shops approximately 2 minutes walk away. And there is a regular bus service at the end of the road going to Torquay town & the harbour or further afield towards Paignton & Brixham. When you arrive you can pull in directly opposite the cottage by the yellow barrier to unload before moving your car. You can either use the small public car park right opposite the cottage, or if you don't mind walking a few minutes, then park for free in one of the surrounding roads. (If you do decide to use the public car park you will be able to see your car from the cottage bedroom window).
