All the bed linen is 400 LTC from Soak and Sleep. The bathroom is equipped with large fluffy towels and some basic toiletries. There is plenty of hot water, and a brand new power shower. The Kitchen is well equipped for those who wish to cook. The sitting room is cosy with warm lighting, and a comfortable sofa. Books and Games are available along with a smart TV and wifi throughout the cottage. The house is not suitable for children under 12 and elderly or infirm guests. This is due to steep staircases inside and outside of the property.
Hi My name is Liz. Welcome to 21 Pound Street. I hope that you will enjoy your stay. Petworth is in the South Downs National park, and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is so much to do, and many places to explore. I have put together a guide book, and hope that there will be something that appeals to all my guests. Walking and eating out are 2 of my interests, and there is an abundance of opportunities to do both from here.
Petworth is most famous for Petworth House. It is looked after by the National Trust and sits within a 700 acre deer park. The house has several state rooms, and hosts a large collection of paintings by turner, and portraits by Van Dyck. The whole Estate is a short walk from 21 Pound street. For the active guests I would recommend Walking on the South Downs. You can drive up to the top from various points in Storrington or Duncton and walk for miles in either direction.. Petworth itself, has many interesting shops, particularly if you like antiques and interiors. There are also several boutiques a fantastic deli, butchers and fishmongers. If you are interested in Wine, we are surrounded by vineyards. Tinwood, Roebuck, Nyetimber and Upperton to name a few. Goodwood is a 20 minute drive from 21 Pound Street, and holds many exciting events throughout the year. We are also surrounded by wedding venues. Grittenham Barn, Ramster, The Walled Garden at Cowdray, Bartholomew Barn and Upwaltham Barns plus many more.
