About this property

In East Cowes on the Isle of Wight, the Prince of Wales is opposite Osborne House, the former home of Queen Victoria. A 3-minute drive from the ferry terminal linking the island to the UK mainland, it has a bar and free parking and free Wi-Fi. Each room at the Prince of Wales has its own en suite shower facilities. There is a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee facilities in all rooms. Catering for parties and events is available at the property. Among local attractions are the Isle of Wight Bus Museum, and Owl & Monkey Haven, both less than 10 minutes’ drive away. On the other side of the River Medina, you can reach the Cowes Maritime Museum and town centre in around 20 minutes.

Myself, Samantha and the rest of the team will go out of our way to make sure you make the most of your stay with our local knowledge and will try to fulfil any requests that you may have.

Property information

Ronnie and Samantha cant wait to welcome all our guests, we took over the beautiful hotel on the 8th of July 2024. We have 8 en-suite rooms and 1 non en-suite room where your private bathroom is across the hall, the rooms are already stunning but we aim to take the standard even higher. The Prince of Wales hotel is less than 5 minutes from the Red Funnel car ferry and because it was the Coach House for Queen Victoria it is just across the road from Osborne House. Just outside the front door are the 2 bus stops that take you to either East Cowes, Ryde or into Newport where you can access the rest of the wonderful Island.

Neighbourhood information

As mentioned before we are next door to Osborne House which is steeped in history with all its paintings and artifacts where you get to walk through bedrooms that once belonged to royalty, but you are no more 45 minutes away from any attraction on the Island such as Carisbrook Castle, Blackgang Chine, The Needles, Old Shanklin Village, Sandown beach and many more.
