Rame Barton is the perfect place to stay if you are attending a wedding at The Fort. It is within a mile away and taxi drivers are happy to take you this short distance. It’s too far to walk in wedding attire and a bit blowy. Whilst this was the...

Rame Barton is unique, you've all heard that word before, but here it is true. The setting, with many beaches around us to chose from and the South West Gold Coastal Path beside us. An ancient church , still used although no electricity, at the bottom of our garden and we are on the path to Rame Head and it's iconic Hermitage. Inside a tasteful mix of old and new, stylish yet comfortable and homely. Blissfully quiet at night and lovely gardens to sit in / play in during the day. The characteristic fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are on our doorstep and offer beach-side eating and drinking, rock pools and walks. What more could anyone ask?
We love living and working here on the Rame Peninsula, a special part of Cornwall, with fabulous views in all directions, only equaled by the friendliness of the locals. Our guests can look forward to a warm welcome in a safe and beautiful 18th Century Farmhouse. We hope to see you soon.
The Rame Peninsula offers stunning beaches with the white sands of Whitsand Bay, enjoyed by surfers, sunbathers, sandcastle makers and picnic lunchers. Other beaches are superb for rock pooling and adventures. We have a surf school close by plus paddle boarding and kayak hire in Cawsand during the holidays. We a stone's throw from the stunning wedding venue Polhawn Fort and a few minutes from Mount Edgcumbe House and Gardens and Maker Heights. There are wonderful places to eat out, from cosy pubs and our local Fish & Chip Van to restaurant style dining. Well being - Here at Rame Barton we have our very own world famous ceramicist, Paul Cardew. His pottery is next to the Guesthouse where pottery lessons can be booked to learn skills such as pot throwing, slip casting, glazing and much more. All over looking the stunning gardens and Rame Church. Watch out for our new well being retreats coming soon or pop us message if you are interested in finding out more. The Rame Peninsula is locally known as the Forgotten Corner of Cornwall, it is the path less trodden with it's wild beauty.
