Enjoy a Lake District stay in one of our two pine log cabins. With a south facing position on Snittlegarth Farm the views up to the fells are spectacular. Our log cabins are secluded in a very quiet area with an abundance of British wildlife all around. Stay in the woodland alongside red squirrels, roe deer, garden birds and a variety of farm animals. Enjoy walking around the area or just enjoying the peace and quiet.
We are in a very rural setting, with the village of Ireby 1 mile away, with a small farm that sells milk, vegetables and potatoes. Ireby has a great pub, 1 mile away, 6 miles to the Sun Inn at Bassenthwaite as well as Bassenthwaite Lake Station (unique railway carraige restaurant - we highly recommend. The Lake District Wildlife Park is also 5 miles away and is a fantastic day out. Also, 3 miles away a local on farm butcher, who produces home grown beef, lamb, chicken, pork, bacon, and duck at very reasonable prices and of excellent quality. This facility is only open on Monday's. The lodges are on a working farm but secluded in their own private area surrounded by fields, woodland and fells. Local recommended places - Bassenthwaite Lake- 5 miles, Caldbeck - 8 miles, Keswick - 12 miles, Cockermouth - 12 miles.
Each lodge has parking for 2 cars with plenty of room. Binsey fell is a Wainright and can be reached straight from the lodge with spectacular views of Bassenthwaite Lake, Skiddaw, and the Solway with Scottish mountains to the North. A car is needed for our area as we are remote and 15 minutes from any town.
