It is located in remote countryside, near the larger villages of Acton Burnell, about three miles to the north-west, and Harley, about two miles to the east. Much Wenlock is another notable village with its black and white half-timbered buildings, limestone cottages, specialty shops, quality pubs and restaurants. Above the town rises the 15 mile long Wenlock Edge, boasting glorious views and walking, cycling, and riding.
