Explore the beautiful North Dorset countryside, and take the Stalbridge and Stalbridge Weston walk, This is a classic Blackmore Vale walk, the greater part of it being on field-paths alongside rich pastureland or small woods and coppices.
For those not wanting to travel far for groceries, make use of Dike & Son's family run award-wining supermarket, just away 5 minutes away along the High Street.
Charming Sturminster Newton is just a 15 minute drive away, and it has independent shops and supermarkets, and a working water mill that sits on the River Stour.
Make sure to visit Shaftesbury with its iconic Gold Hill, and ancient abbey ruins, and enjoy a meal in one of the local cafes, restaurants or pubs.
The Udder Farm Shop and Restaurant at nearby East Stour is popular for breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea, and has an extensive product range - just a 15 minute drive away.
Nearby Stalbridge, you can explore National Trust properties such as Stourhead, Montacute House, Hardys Cottage and The Cerne Abbas Giant.
