A semi-detached (duplex) home full of colour and character, beginning at the front door. A pretty, private porch with adjacent boot-room leads you into the hallway where you can find the handy utility room with washing machine, dryer and freezer and thereon into the bright, spacious, open plan lounge diner and well-appointed kitchen with Nespresso machine and dishwasher. For those nights in you will find books, games and a large dining table ideal for a family meal or intimate dinner. There is a workspace perfect for anyone staying for business, and WIFI and USB points are available. On warm summer days or evenings, the French windows leading onto the decking and garden can be opened and the garden then becomes an extension of the lounge. Upstairs there are two pretty bedrooms that are flooded with light. One bedroom has amazing views over the golf course to the sea and offers a super kingsize bed or two singles, whichever you require. The other bedroom has two single beds and offers views over the garden. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower and separate bath, and the other with a shower over the bath. In each suite there are hairdryers and gorgeous Scottish toiletries.
My husband Graeme and I have lived in Longniddry since 2005 and love everything it offers - beach, golf, tennis, horse-riding and countryside, all within 20 minutes of Edinburgh.
We are golfers and know how important it is to have somewhere to store clubs, trolleys and shoes - especially when wet, so we provide a dedicated drying room for all outdoor gear, with large drying rack, electric sockets for battery chargers, and room for bikes and hiking gear too!
We love seeing the brightly coloured kite-surfers' kites from here at the house and enjoying a beautiful sunset from the decking has never gotten old.
Our home is situated on Scotland's Golf Coast, boasting 21 golf courses a stunning beaches (one only 4 minutes walk away) and the driest weather in Scotland!
We are so lucky to be around 10 minutes walk from the train station (18 minutes to Edinburgh Waverley and 13 minutes to North Berwick). There are also regular bus services and easy road access to the A1, taking approximately 30 minutes by car to the centre of Edinburgh.
Ideally set in Longniddry village, surrounded by scenic countryside and overlooking Longniddry Golf Course and the sea. The Lodge is only 10 minutes walk from Longniddry Railway station, 1 minute walk from the golf course, 5 minutes walk to the tennis courts and just over 4 minutes walk to Longniddry Beach. The local swing park is approximately 10 minutes walk. It is a safe, quiet, residential area surrounded by beautiful gardens and large houses. A small supermarket, pharmacy, hairdresser, newsagent and post office are within easy walking distance for provisions.
