Newly built, self-contained private annexe with double bed and separate bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Tastefully furnished, warm and quiet, this is the perfect place for a peaceful get-away. Although the garden is awaiting landscaping, there is a large lawned area in front of the annexe which offers amazing views of the surrounding countryside. The annexe has ample parking, free wi-fi and tea and coffee making facilities. For a small charge we can offer a continental breakfast if booked in advance. If you would prefer a full breakfast however, this can be booked in advance at the pub (10 minute walk). The Royal Oak pub at Swallowcliffe is owned by James May and offers high quality lunches and evening meals as well as breakfasts.
Hi, I'm Jess and I am looking forward to welcoming guests to our newly built separate annexe within our garden. We are sociable hosts and excited about meeting new friends.
We are situated within the village of Swallowcliffe which is 25 minutes away from Salisbury and 15 minutes away from Shaftesbury by car. We are within an area of outstanding natural beauty and in a dark skies region. We are in a rural area surrounded by fields, with amazing views of the Swallowcliffe Downs and the Fovant Badges. We run our accommodation in an environmentally-friendly way, with heating and hot water supplied using an air-source heat pump and solar panels and filtered water being supplied from a borehole. We have good accessibility by train, with the railway station of Tisbury (2 miles away) being on the mainline between Exeter and London Waterloo.
Local landmarks and places of interest include Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Longleat, Stourhead, Wardour Castle and Old Sarum. The area is perfect as a base for walking, cycling and exploring breaks.
