Beautifully appointed property. Really nice touch with the welcome basket which we weren't expecting. Safe, clean area for the dogs to run around and a completely enclosed field also easily accessible.

Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Barn is in an ideal location sitting on the border of Dorset and Devon and close to Somerset also. This superbly constructed barn style property provides spacious and well-appointed accommodation for four guests.

Neighbourhood information

Information correct at time of writing. Set on the River Axe and within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, nearby Axminster boasts many independent shops, cafes and restaurants and there is plenty to explore. The Axminster Country Market takes place every Thursday at the Masonic Hall from 8:30am until noon. With local producers of craft, food, plants, and vegetables as well as unique gifts and hampers. Axminster Heritage Centre will provide you with all the history Axminster holds. Tytherleigh is a six minute drive from Holditch, home to The Tytherleigh Arms, a family run restaurant providing fantastic food cooked to order, with the best seasonal and locally sourced produce and local real ales (booking is essential to avoid any disappointment!). Tytherleigh is also home to The Farm Shop, providing local produce, beautiful home cooked lunches and cakes! There is always something new and different at The Farm Shop, so it is best to keep track on social media! Just 3 miles away is the stunning Forde Abbey Historic House & Gardens, a great place to visit for all of the family with over 30 acres of award winning gardens, and the highest powered fountain in England. A 20-minute drive away is the bustling and popular seaside town of Lyme Regis, famous for its Cobb, dinosaur and fossil museum; and beaches. 12 minutes away, Chard provides you with the bigger supermarkets and chain shops as well has several independent cafes and restaurants. The town is surrounded by countryside and plenty of places to visit for all the family, such as the Chard Museum, sharing all the history and knowledge of the town. The Byre is situated 30 minutes away from the Jurassic Coast, providing several walks with beautiful views with plenty of activities for all to enjoy.
