The Curate's Quarters, new for August 2018, is situated in an annex of The Old Vicarage, one of Lincoln's landmark buildings. We have aimed to reflect the period of the main building and the history of the city in our design, while providing modern comforts and fun features, so that the apartment plays a full part in your Lincoln experience, rather than just being the place you are staying at. Pull back the bifold doors and bring the outside in. Walk out onto the spacious decking area and take in the stunning view across the city and countryside beyond. Relax in the open plan living space with contemporary bar-style kitchen, period furniture and entertainment facilities. Recharge with a great nights sleep in the pocket sprung superking-size bed and wake up to a refreshing walk-in shower in our luxury ensuite. One of the best things about 'The Curate's Quarters' is the combination of its completely central location and the fact that is has a private parking space included in your booking. No messing about with on-street parking permits and fighting for spaces near to the accommodation, just park in your designated car park space outside the flat and unpack at your leisure.
Paul and Valerie have been working on 'The Curate's Quarters' since March 2017, and it is our first venture into holiday lettings. We have aimed to provide all the features we would look for in a holiday home ourselves. We believe that a trip away should not just be a case of being somewhere else. We want people to feel that our apartment is a fully designed experience and a bit more than a home from home. The whole family has been involved in the hard work and design. and we have really enjoyed staying there ourselves during the latter stages of the development. We can't wait to share our special space with our guests! And if there are any problems we live in a village just outside Lincoln, so are on hand to help out.
From the apartment, the castle is just around the corner and the cathedral is within easy walking distance. The vibrant bars and eateries of the Bailgate and Steep Hill are also a minute or two away by foot, and the museums, art galleries and antique shops are also a stone's throw away. Nearby Castle Square is a hub for events such as the Christmas Market, Farmers Markets, specialist weekends such as the 1940s weekend and the Steampunk Festival, and of late, has often turned itself over to being a film set, so if you're lucky, you might catch a few well known faces in period costume! In recent years, Lincoln has undergone a significant programme of redevelopment to capitalise on its status as one of England's most important historical cities, and the rapidly growing reputation of the University has showcased the city's charms to a far wider audience.
