The Nant is a beautifully renovated traditional stone cottage with retained original features, offering sea views from nearly every room. Set in a unique spot down a narrow unmade lane overlooking Abereiddy Bay, the surrounding grounds add to the magic of this calm and secret place. Hidden benches offer lovely spots to relax, admire the view, listen to the birdsong and the babbling stream that gives the cottage its name. Alongside the stream, as it flows from a spring into a pond and then down the cwm to the sea, is a footpath giving direct access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and beach. Step into the sitting/dining room with exposed beams and wooden floor, beautifully and simply furnished; the wood burning stove ensures a cosy feel even on the chilliest of evenings. There’s a dining table with a much-coveted window seat, a traditional dresser with plenty of crockery and lots of board games, and a flat-screen TV and Sonos speaker. WiFi is available throughout the cottage. Prepare meals in the compact fitted cottage-style kitchen. At the rear of the cottage there is a shower room and a utility room with wood store, washing machine, tumble dryer and a useful space to hang wet weather gear and wet suits. A steep narrow tread staircase (coming down backwards is advisable) leads from the sitting room to the bedrooms nestling in the eaves above, all with wooden floors, beams and sea views. From the cottage an uneven stone path leads to a raised lawn with a gas barbecue and picnic bench - ideal for enjoying an alfresco meal while you soak up the stunning sea view to Abereiddy headland and the Blue Lagoon. The bird and wildlife will astound. Opposite the cottage and discreetly hidden in the trees is a self-contained shed which the owner stays in when visiting to maintain the grounds. Take to the Coastal Path on your doorstep to explore this stunning rugged coastline on foot. One of Pembrokeshire‘s most beautiful beaches, Traeth Llyfn, is only 1 mile away...
