On the border of Kent and East Sussex, The Queen’s Inn in Hawkhurst offers luxurious rooms alongside its high-quality restaurant and bar. Around 7 miles from Sissinghurst Castle and 4 miles from Bedgebury Pinetum, this Weald of Kent inn dates back to 1561 and offers free parking and WiFi. Each room includes a flat-screen TV, seating area, wardrobe, iPod dock and tea and coffee facilities including a coffee machine. All have an en suite bathroom with a bath and shower, with a hairdryer, bathrobes and toiletries provided. The Queen’s Inn restaurant menu offers 21-day aged steaks, vegetarian antipasti and Moroccan lamb tagine alongside classic British favourites like cod and chips and pie, mash and gravy. Hawkhurst is around 20 minutes’ drive from pretty Tenterden, and 25 minutes from the royal spa town of Tunbridge Wells. Bodiam Castle is just over 4 miles away, and you can reach the Eurostar terminal in Ashford in a little over 40 minutes.
