The Snug, as its name suggests, is a cosy one room apartment offering self catering accommodation. The property has recently been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard and with its own independent access is an ideal stay for walkers. The Snug boasts many features that include a Kitchenette with combined Microwave/Oven, comfortable twin beds (that can be made into a Super Kingsize bed upon request) and an ensuite shower room. It is ideal for guests needing 1-2 night stay, located a stone's throw from Buckden Pike, The Dales Way and other circular routes from the doorstep.
Pets are welcome with a pack containing dog bowls, a dog blanket and treats. Towels are also available in the event of a soggy walk! Lastly, parking is available on site including the use of an EV charger (7 kw/hour).
For parties of more than two people, The Snug has the option to connect to The Wharfe and The Dale, also part of Greystones, through a private internal inner hallway, that is otherwise locked. Maximum six people, two per unit.
Happy to help in any way we can to make your stay truly memorable. We are delighted to recommend places to eat and drink, share circular walks from the doorstep and highlight places of interest in the surrounding area and further afield. The Snug is a place to do as little or as much as you wish.
Close to the geographical centre of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Upper Wharfedale is truly stunning! On the doorstep are the popular Dales Way and Lady Anne’s Way and several other circular walks start and finish on the doorstep.
If you prefer to eat out, whilst The Buck Inn is temporarily closed, other options include The George Inn at Hubberholme, involves a lovely stroll along the River Wharfe, The Fox and Hounds in Starbotton (5 mins drive) and The Bluebell in Kettlewell (10 mins drive). Grassington is a popular market town and slightly further afield is Skipton. In the opposite direction, you will find the market towns of Hawes and Leyburn, both a delight to visit and the drive there is an experience in itself. The beauty of The Wharfedale Valley is a desirable destination all year round and even in the height of Summer, it doesn't feel crowded.
