The town itself is very well connected by both road and by public transport. • Bedlinen, towels and toiletries provided • Wirksworth Stone Inglenook with electric stove • Open brick fireplace • Amazon Echo Dot/Show • Within walking distance to many walks including the infamous High Peak trail, Ecclesbourne railway, Stoney wood to name just a few • Dining table • Comfy sofa/sofa bed • Lounge chairs and footstools • Bath with Overhead thermostatic shower • Double bed with memory foam mattress • Double bunk bed • Gas fired combination heating system • A travel cot provided on request • High chair provided on request • Smart TV. • Gas hob • Electric oven • Microwave • Dishwasher • Washer/dryer • F/Freezer • Wi-Fi • A small outside seating area • Comprehensive and up to date Welcome pack • Central location with walking access to the tourist information centre, galleries, restaurants, pubs, delis, and the Northern Light Cinema. • Secure/private access to a quaint family pub from the back gate.
Aptly nicknamed 'the Gem of the Peaks', Wirksworth is an historic market town dating back to Saxon times. The property is situated on the most desirable street in the town, North End. As one of the oldest streets in Derbyshire, the street is entirely listed, as a result it is largely popular with both tourists and locals. All the Wirksworth’s amenities are within a two minute walk. Wirksworth is full of the charms as a Derbyshire Peak District town, but it also offers a lot more. It has fantastic country pubs, bakeries, delis, artisan food/drink shops, restaurants, wine bars, art galleries and there is a fabulous independent cinema on North End. Both the cinema and a local pub has featured in the Guardian Newspaper as some of the best places to visit in the Peak District. Art/Music/Culture/Food and Drink, is ingrained within the culture of this ‘Bohemian’ small town. Each year it attracts tourists and prestigious Artists and Architects from all over the world, to take part in it's Annual Arts festival.  The Tenth House would be perfect for a family, looking for a holiday home in the country and all that the Peak District has to offer, but also close to towns and cities.
