Bustling Barmouth is just a short drive away; take a walk along the promenade and indulge in some fish and chips. An iconic feature of the town is Barmouth Bridge, an over 150-year-old railway viaduct across the Mawddach Estuary. It is half a mile in length, with a wooden promenade suitable for pedestrians or cyclists which now forms part of the Wales Coast Path and the Lon Las Cymru Cycle Network. Nantcol waterfalls are just a few miles away and offer a great day out, a perfect place for a picnic. Porthmadog is 10 miles; an attractive harbour town, it is home to the Ffestiniog Steam Railway and the Welsh Highland Railway.
