Steve Anderson is the proprietor; he hails not from Caerphilly , nor Wales! Steve is a 'Scotsman' without an accent!
Steve has lived abroad extensively, with a serviceman's background, and having taught history (amongst other things) in Kenya, Kuwait, Peru and Dubai. Steve describes himself as cheerful, fair, reasonable, pragmatic (no nonsense / no frills), helpful, honest and hard-working. I chose this vocation as it allows me to meet and interact with people from all walks of life and countries. I like a cosmopolitan atmosphere, and get a thrill from hosting people here for special events i.e. rugby internationals, Big Cheese, and concerts which take place in Caerphilly Castle and Cardiff.

We aim to provide:
A friendly and personal service. We will try and assist you in making your stay relaxing and enjoyable. The property and the hospitality might be a little 'quirky' at times, but that is part-and-parcel of the character and ambience of this family guest house. Try and be flexible and keep an open mind, but feel free to point out faults and short-comings.
A subtle sense of place. We recognize that many visitors - whether as tourists, business / professional or family visitors - wish to enjoy an authentic experience of visiting Caerphilly (a town renowned for its famous castle and cheese) and south Wales.
A good standard of furnishing to provide comfortable accommodation.
