The Cottage|
The cottage is ideally situated close to the beautiful Highland village of Drumnadrochit, and is only a 2 minute walk from the iconic Urquhart Castle. It sits in extensive private gardens to explore offering stunning views of Loch Ness and Glen Urquhart.
We renovated the building and interior rooms to retain the charm of the original while at the same time introducing the best modern comforts to this luxury Bed & Breakfast. Only BnB rooms occupy the upper floor giving a high degree of privacy to guests, along with the separate cosy guest lounge and dining area.
|The Room|
The room has stunning views over Loch Ness. It has a double bed with a goose down duvet and all-Egyptian cotton bed linen. It also has a smart TV, WiFi, Pod coffee and tea facilities, water and some homemade cake upon arrival.
The large en-suite offers a large roll top bath and separate power shower with double shower head and rain head, WC and large hand-basin. The en-suite is complemented by heated towel rails, Egyptian cotton towels and a selection of local hand-made soaps and toiletries.
We are Simon and Annie Greenlay. We first saw Urquhart Bay cottage in 2014 and fell in love with it. We knew immediately that we wanted to live in this peaceful cottage with its one-of-a-kind views over Loch Ness and we love to share it with guests.
|The Food|
We've always believed that a good breakfast is the foundation of a good day and a full breakfast menu using locally sourced or home-grown produce is offered between (7.30 and 9.00am) in the conservatory which has excellent views on three sides to enjoy Loch Ness, Glen Urquhart and the many birds which visit our garden. In fine weather we are happy to offer breakfast on the patio adjoining the conservatory.
All of our meals are created using only the best locally sourced produce, including vegetables and herbs from our garden and local free-range eggs.
